Site Operations Status
- Data Availability
- Preliminary
data availability for last week is 97.7%.
- Reports are available on OMIS at: http://www.ops.sgp.arm.gov/
- Outstanding Availability Issues:
- EBBR, SMOS:E13 - On 1/6 the
coms locked up and was reset on 1/9. Missing data should be recovered.
- MFR10, MFRSR:C1/E13 - On 1/6 the
coms locked up and was reset on 1/9. Missing data may not be recovered.
- MWR:B1 - On 1/3
found the computer locked up and remotely restarted at 1419 GMT.
Missing data is not recoverable.
- RWP915:IF3 - On 1/5
found the instrument powered on but no program running. Restarted at
1623 GMT. Missing data is not recoverable.
- SIRS:E18 - On 1/9 the
SDS collector computer was restarted. Missing data may be recovered.
- SWATS:E19 - On 1/5
tried to upgrade the data logger OS program at 1703 GMT with some
problems but the instrument seemed to be operational upon completion.
Missing data may be recovered.
- VCEIL:B1 - On 1/3
found the computer powered off and it was restarted at 1812 GMT.
Missing data is not recoverable.
- VCEIL:B4 - On 1/ 4
replaced the computer for upgrades at 1736 GMT.
- VCEIL:B5
- On 1/5 replaced the computer for upgrades at 1905 GMT.
- VCEIL:B6 – On 1/ 4 replaced the computer for
upgrades at 2134 GMT.
- Offline:

Site Data Quality Status
- I
prepared a report regarding the unusual wildfires in Oklahoma. This report
was sent to the PRB via email. At this point evidence that the smoke has
affected the data is inconclusive.
SGP SDS Status
- Preparations
are being made for integration of TDMA data.
ECR Status
- Nothing right now.
Site Development Status
- Storage expansion construction continues. Dan Nelson is
monitoring this activity.
Field Campaigns
- AIRS:
The second phase of AIRS launches begins this week.
- AURA/TES:
Francis Schmidlin is interested in planning ozone launches at the
CF.
- CO2 LIDAR Validation: I have delivered additional meteorological information to
Mike Dobbs concerning January and February precipitation. We are still
awaiting word as to when the ITT campaign will take place. Nothing new from ITT as of right
now.
- HydroKansas: Dan Rusk is still waiting for site maintenance procedures. Craig
Webb, Dan Nelson and others have visited HydroKansas sites to prepare
for stream gauge installations.
Issues/Other Items/Action Item Review
- Earthstorm will come to the Central Facility
on June 22 for a tour/presentation of the site. We were contacted by
Andrea Medlin. Andrea expects 30-50 teachers to participate.
- David Groff will work with Rolanda Jundt to
create a link for unusual weather events (i.e. wildfires, snowstorms, severe
weather etc.) on the ARM SGP website.

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. (CST).
