Site Data Quality Status

  1. I prepared a report regarding the unusual wildfires in Oklahoma. This report was sent to the PRB via email. At this point evidence that the smoke has affected the data is inconclusive. To determine the impact (if any) of the wildfires on the data will require each mentor to carry out a detailed investigation.
  2. Victor Morris asked me if the CF 25m pyrgeometers have been considered in the implementation of BCR 1162. A note has been posted in the BCR to alert the pyrgeometer IM.

SGP SDS Status

  1. Nothing Right now.

ECR Status

  1.  Nothing right now.

Site Development Status

  1. Storage expansion construction continues. Dan Nelson is monitoring this activity. The storage expansion building has electricity.

Field Campaigns

  1. AIRS: The second phase of AIRS launches begins this week.
  2. AURA/TES: Francis Schmidlin is interested in planning ozone launches at the CF. Ozone launches will begin sometime this week.
  3. CO2 LIDAR Validation: I have delivered additional meteorological information to Mike Dobbs concerning January and February precipitation. We are still awaiting word as to when the ITT campaign will take place. This campaign has been pushed back to March/April. I will provide them with meteorological information for that time period.
  4. HydroKansas: Dan Rusk is still waiting for site maintenance procedures. Craig Webb, Dan Nelson and others have visited HydroKansas sites to prepare for stream gauge installations. Craig webb has completed his survey of the stream gauge sites. At this point it appears that we may need to manually extract data for some of the locations.

Issues/Other Items/Action Item Review

  1. Earthstorm will come to the Central Facility on June 22 for a tour/presentation of the site. We were contacted by Andrea Medlin. Andrea expects 30-50 teachers to participate.
  2. David Groff will work with Rolanda Jundt to create a link for unusual weather events (i.e. wildfires, snowstorms, severe weather etc.) on the ARM SGP website.
