Site Data Quality Status

  1.  DQPR 711 – Karen and Ken determined that EBBR AEM at E22 was working properly after the Preventative Maintenance on 1/18. The status has been changed to Pending DQR.

SGP SDS Status

  1. Nothing Right now.

ECR Status

  1. ECR 556 – A web cam will be added to the guest instrument trailer.
  2. ECR 557 – A web cam will be added to the 60m tower.
  3. ECR 555 – Currently, data from the Cimel Sunphotometer are transmitted to NASA Aeronet for processing via a GOES satellite uplink. This uplink has proved to be a problem because ARM cannot monitor the transmissions and cannot readily determine if they have been successful. Plans are being made to substitute internet data transmission for the GOES uplink.
  4. ECR 551 – Plans are being made for the MMCR antennas to be refurbished. The process will take 2-3 years.

Site Development Status

  1. Storage expansion is near completion.

Field Campaigns

  1. AIRS: The phase V AIRS launches continue at the CF.
  2. AURA/TES: Ozonesondes were launched last week.
  3. CO2 LIDAR Validation: This campaign has been pushed back to March/April. I have provided Mike Dobbs with meteorological information for that time period.
  4. HydroKansas: Craig webb has completed his survey of the stream gauge sites. At this point it appears that we may need to manually extract data for some of the locations.

Issues/Other Items/Action Item Review

  1. Earthstorm will come to the Central Facility on June 22 for a tour/presentation of the site. We were contacted by Andrea Medlin. Andrea expects 30-50 teachers to participate.
  2. David Groff will work with Rolanda Jundt to create a link for unusual weather events (i.e. wildfires, snowstorms, severe weather etc.) on the ARM SGP website.
