- SIRS:E2 – On 3/15 found
the logger inoperative and cycled the power to restart at 1900 GMT.
Missing data is not recoverable.

SGP SDS Status
- Ron
Reed installed a DSL line at Vici this week.
ECR Status
- ECR 572 – Joe Michalsky will work to establish a diffuse horizontal
shortwave irradiance measurement standard. The ARM standard will be
based on performance during IOP’s.
Site Development Status
- Nothing right now.
Instrument Updates
1. The work
associated with the removal of pyrgeometer calibration bias outlined in BCR
01162 is complete.
Field Campaigns
- AIRS: The
phase II AIRS launches continue at the CF.
- CO2 LIDAR Validation: Still no word from Mike Dobbs.
- PGS: A
contract is being worked out to continue PGS.
- CLASIC: Will
be underway within 15 months.
- HydroKansas: Rain gauge calibrations and stream
gauge surveying continues.
- Magnetic
Field Observations: Work will begin in the next week or so to
install a magnetometer at Purcell.
- SGP Radon
Measurements of Atmospheric Mixing (RAMIX): Radon will be used as a
tracer to measure vertical mixing between the surface layer, boundary
layer, and free troposphere. Concentrations of Radon will be measured
from the 60 m tower. Preparations
for this campaign are underway.
