Database of Tornadic and Nontornadic Severe Storm Outbreak Cases
Objectives
Create a database of tornadic and nontornadic severe storm outbreak cases.
Accomplishments
In collaboration with Mr. Richard Thompson, Mr. John Hart, Mr. Casey Crosbie,
and Mr. Roger Edwards of the Storm Prediction Center, the project to
collect and rank tornadic and nontornadic severe storm outbreak cases
and build a database for the study has been completed and a formal publication
on the work has appeared in the literature. A second phase of this project
will involve team members performing subjective analyses of all the cases.
This project is ongoing.
