Recommendations (cont’d)
(3) Several iterations may be necessary in any of these steps to come to some sort of best conclusion about the events, given all the information available
- Survey the damage in the field (preferably using survey teams). Going back for re-surveys as new information becomes available is a desired option, if resources permit
- Interview storm spotters and storm chasers, as well as any other eyewitnesses
- Review storm chaser video and logs
- Determine the entire history (times, locations, and magnitudes) of tornadoes, wind, and hail events, and not just one or two reports to verify a warning (each radar volume scan is best)
