Tornadoes

• Tornadoes are produced in both supercells and non-supercells

• Supercell-associated tornadoes tend to be stronger, larger, and have longer lifetimes, although not every tornado in a supercell is the same

• Forecasting the potential for tornadoes is mostly forecasting the potential for supercells
